How to build a real-time stock screener by using python, can I have an example of that?

Hello All,

I'm kinda new in the API stock-data field although I do have pretty good coding experience using Python & Matlab. I would like to start to learn how to build a real-time stock scanner by using Python.

As a beginner, can someone show me an example of a simple python coding scanner contains crossing-moving averages conditions or Engulfing Candle scanner?

Thank you

Hi, We don't have any samples of what you are looking for, but I would be happy to provide you with the resources to customize

your own scanner. For your data, I would suggest ether a websocket connection such as https://github.com/intrinio/intrinio-realtime-python-sdk, or the realtime endpoints from out API. https://docs.intrinio.com/documentation/python. Then simply format the data and use your preferred charting method. We use MatPlotLib, but you can personalize as you see fit.
