Standardized Financials in API version 2

With the 1st API version, it is possible to get Standardized Financials by using statement=calculations, type=TTM and date=YYYY-mm-dd.

For example: https://api.intrinio.com/financials/standardized?identifier=AAPL&statement=calculations&type=TTM&date=2007-09-29

Question 1:

With the 2nd API version, how would the URL Standardized Financials for v2 look like? Something like https://api-v2.intrinio.com/fundamentals/com_NX6GzO-calculations-2007-Q3/standardized_financials where:

  • com_NX6GzO is the company ID (instead of AAPL ticker)
  • calculations is the statement
  • 2007-Q3 is the year-period (instead of type=TTM&date=2007-09-29)

Is this correct?

Question 2:

2007-09-29 is the first date there are fundamentals for AAPL, see the first_fundamental_date field in: https://api-v2.intrinio.com/companies/com_NX6GzO

This date works perfectly with https://api.intrinio.com/financials/standardized?identifier=AAPL&statement=calculations&type=TTM&date=2007-09-29 but not with the 2nd API version.

https://api-v2.intrinio.com/fundamentals/com_NX6GzO-calculations-2008-Q3/standardized_financials (2008-Q3) is the first year-period where I get a result back. Shouldn't 2007-Q3 (or at least 2007-Q4) return fundamentals in this case, if 2007-09-29 is the first fundamental date?

Hi, for your first question yes

https://api-v2.intrinio.com/fundamentals/com_NX6GzO-calculations-2007-Q3/standardized_financials?api_key=YOUR_API_KEY

should be the correct syntax for your web API query. For your second question I would recomend filing a ticket here https://account.intrinio.com/account/support And we will be able to work with you more directly to figure out whats going on.

It turns out that we do not have the data for Q3 2007, and our records are spotty until 2009 for AAPL.
